 The Jeely Piece Club was established in 1975 to provide play opportunities and early education services for children growing up in Castlemilk, Glasgow. Our aim is to tackle child poverty by offering play & learning for children 0-12, supporting families & be an asset to the wider community.

We are seeking a dedicated Family & Play Worker to join the Jeely team. This exciting new role recognises that supporting children effectively means supporting the whole family. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality play opportunities for children while building strong, supportive relationships with parents and carers.

The Family & Play Worker role focuses on two key areas:

Supporting Children's Play

You will plan, deliver and evaluate engaging play sessions for children aged 5-12 years in a variety of settings, including:

• Our dedicated play zone

• Outdoor play environments

• Community outreach locations

​

You will create safe, inclusive and stimulating opportunities that encourage children to develop confidence, creativity and positive relationships through play.

​

Supporting Families

Working within a whole-family approach, you will:

• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.

• Identify and respond to family support needs.

• Encourage participation in family support programmes and activities.

• Signpost families to appropriate services and resources.

• Act as a link between families and statutory services including schools, GPs, social work and other agencies.

• Support families experiencing challenges including poverty, food insecurity, digital exclusion, energy arrears, and poor mental or physical health
